About Me.

I recently graduated with my degree in Music Education at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. At WTAMU I participated in three choirs and one small ensemble as well as serve as Choir Historian. I have graduated from Tyler Junior College with my Associate's in Music where I was a member of both the band and choir programs. At Whitehouse High School I was a member and officer in the band, choir, and theater programs. I also frequently sing with Marvin Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas.

I grew up in East Texas and am part of a long line of music educators. My grandmother taught elementry music for a period of time before switching to high school band and teaching along side my grandfather. My parents both teach at Kilgore High School where my father runs the band program and my mother runs the theater department and is the head of Fine Arts.

I have traveled all over the world for performances; including New York City; Washington D.C.; Disney World; London, England; Milan, Italy; Zurick, Switzerland; Texas Music Teachers Association Centennial Anniversary in San Antonio, Texas; Southwest American Choral Directors Association; Chicago, Illinois; El Paso, Texas; San Juan, Costa Rica;

Education

2021-2024

BA Music Education

West Texas A&M University

While at WTAMU, I received my degree in music education with an emphasis in voice, studying under Dr. Cloyce Kuhnert. With this degree I plan to work with junior high and high school choirs.

While attending WTAMU, I am participating in the Chorale, Chamber Singers, Sforzando, Collegiate Choir, Flashback! Rock Band, and the Opera Program. I served as Choral Historian in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years. I was also an active member of Mu Phi Epsilon Alpha Nu and Historian for the fall 2023 semester.

2019-2021

AA Music

Tyler Junior College

While at TJC, I briefly studied French Horn under the head of the Music Department: Heather Mensch. I later switched to studying Voice under Dr. Eric Posada and Andrea Trent. Despite the world lockdown due to the Coronavirus, I managed to continue my studies with little delay.

While at TJC I participated in the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensamble, Chorale, and Harmony & Understanding.

During Covid, I took on many leadership positions in the choral program.
